To accompany Dominique in his journey, everyone has the opportunity to take action on their own scale to reduce their impact on nature and the oceans. In addition to all the daily actions that one can take to reduce their ecological footprint (carpooling, using public transportation, eating less meat, favoring local supply chains, etc.), we offer some tips to reduce ocean pollution :
- Sort your waste ♻️
- Reuse paper and cardboard as needed 📦
- Say no to paper: “no junk mail” and opt-out of paper receipts should be your new habits 🧾
- Consume products with the least packaging possible and prefer recyclable or reusable packaging 🍌
- Avoid buying bottled water and instead use a refillable bottle as much as you need 🍼
- Participate in the sharing economy and promote second-hand consumption 🧦
- Prioritize local consumption over online orders 🏪
- Avoid consuming fish and seafood from industrial and intensive fishing 🎣
- Be cautious of synthetic products that release microfibers, tiny plastic particles that pollute the ocean on a small scale 👕
- Try plogging: picking up litter during your jog. An ecological way to maintain your health ! 🏃🏻
We’re not asking you to row across the Atlantic to change the fate of the planet, but adopting these different habits will make a difference, and the Earth will thank you. 🌍
See you next Monday for an update on your new daily routine !
