Humeau

The association Expedition Protect ocean aims to raise awareness about ocean pollution through a rowing across the Atlantic by one of its members, Dominique Humeau.

An educational kit is available to enable schools wishing to focus their 2023-2024 school year on the theme of the sea, its biodiversity and the ecological impacts generated by human activity.

Exchanges with the classes that will take part in the project will be organized before and after the crossing, as well as with all the partners of this challenge.

The association Expedition Protect ocean offers to accompany her in this adventure.

The environment is a major concern, I want to take advantage of this challenge to allow those who wish to contribute concretely to ecological actions.

Bouncing back : the goal for the coming months.

The team

If during the duration of the crossing planned between 60 and 70 days I will be alone on the boat, it is essential to be able to count on a solid and loyal team.

And all the others...
I am a sophrologist, a private hypnotherapist and a nurse in a chronic pain center in a clinic. I practice yoga, running in a club. Rather endurance, for several years, I have been training mainly for long distances, particularly marathons. I personally use all these techniques in which I trained and I am convinced of their richness. Called by Dominique a few months ago for information on sleep management which was one of her first questions in connection with her project. We talk and I offer to introduce him to sophrology and guide him towards total autonomy in his practice in line with his requests. This method is complementary to physical preparation. It requires learning and regular training in the same way as physical training. Educational project

The Atlantic rowing project also has an educational purpose to raise awareness of ocean pollution.

To do this, Talensac teachers, with the approval of Ms. Marsa, National Education Inspector, have developed an educational kit in 15 sheets for cycle 2 and cycle 3 students.

This kit will be presented to Montfort Community schools, who will be able to use it during the 2023-2024 school year.

For interested classes, meetings will be organized to present the project and throughout the crossing, email exchanges will be possible so that the children can experience the adventure up close.
